NEW ENGLAND PAINTED PINE DIMINUTIVE CORNER CUPBOARD, in two parts,, upper section with an applied molded and stepped cornice above a dentil-carved frieze, and two three-pane doors fitted with old glass, concealing two deeply scalloped, fixed shelves, lower case with applied, stepped waist molding above two fielded-panel doors, upper and lower case returns comprised of a boldly fluted pilaster, the whole raised on an applied, robustly molded base. Original red-painted exterior with oxidized gold highlights, original blue-painted interiors. Early 19th century. 78 1/2" H, 40" W, 22 1/4" corner. Very good condition, top edge of proper right cornice return replaced, small section of frieze and base molding detached, but present, expected usage wear.
