ELEGANT ALTAR TABLE WITH RUYI. China. Qing dynasty (1644-1911). Dark hardwood (rosewood, hualimu) with beautiful grain. Lacquered and polished. The apron beneath the tabletop is carved with ruyi cloud heads. Each of the spirals are connected with a small bead to the edge. Here, as at the edges of the tabletop a fine relief line forms the border. The wide top is framed with a ledge. The flat legs are stabilized by a base ledge and connected with a frame. China. Qing-Dynastie (1644-1911). Dunkles, ausdrucksstark gemasertes Hartholz (Rosenholz, hualimu). Glänzend lackiert und poliert. Bei diesem Tisch ist die Schürze unter der Tischplatte mit ruyi-Wolkenköpfen geschnitzt. Die Spiralen sind jeweils mit einer kleinen Perle mit dem Rand verbunden. Wie auch an den Rändern der Tischplatte bildet ein feine Reliefleiste den Abschluss. Die breite Platte ist mit einer Rahmenleiste versehen. Die flachen Beine sind stabilisiert durch eine Leiste am Boden und mit einem Rahmen verbunden. Höhe 96,5cm, 152 x 43cm. Zustand A/B.
