毗湿奴为印度教三大主神之一，为“创造”、“毁灭”、“维护”三相中的维护之神。其性格温和，能够对信仰虔诚的信徒施予恩惠，而且常化身成各种形象拯救处于危难中的世界。此尊头束高发髻，佩戴华丽五叶冠饰。面庞长圆，眉眼上挑，嘴含笑意，容貌俊秀，以一种洋溢着青春活力的形象面对芸芸信众。上身裸露，躯体匀称，佩戴项链、臂钏等各种饰物，帔帛尾端如缠枝花朵般飞逸飘扬，极具装饰效果和律动美感。上左臂持有法螺，上右臂持念珠，下两臂分持莲花。下身着贴身长裙，以游戏坐姿坐于莲花座上。整像俊逸的容貌、劲健的肌体、动感的身姿、华丽的装饰，都继承了尼泊尔造像的艺术特色。其抽象规整的火焰头光，屡现于 17 世纪前后尼泊尔地区的金铜造像上，是一尊非常难得的出自于尼泊尔艺术大师之手的造像精品。
