酥油灯为藏传佛教供奉于神佛之前的供奉器物，在藏传佛教的寺庙和信徒家中十分常见。据佛经记载，点酥油灯能使慧光永不受阻，让人懂得明善与非善之法，排除视障与愚昧，获得智慧之心。此盏酥油灯灯杯敞口，杯沿外撇，杯身有三匝连珠纹装饰。球形灯柄中部阴刻细丝，上下由两圈莲花瓣围绕。灯托以短长的莲瓣覆盖装饰，莲瓣棱角分明，具有装饰趣味。此盏酥油灯造型优美，工艺精湛，带有内地佛教艺术严谨规整的艺术表现手法，同时镶嵌有松石、珊瑚等物，又突出了藏民族特有的审美情趣，是艺术价值和民族风情兼具的供奉法器。
