瓷质琮式瓶始见于我国宋代，最早可追溯至新石器时代的玉琮。欧窑，又称“宜钧”，因明代宜兴地区匠人仿宋代钧釉烧制而得名，流行于明晚至清早期，有天青、天蓝、芸豆、月白等品种之分。欧窑作品自创始以来，由于其釉水特有的拙味感极强，多以仿古器物为主，此器形样式乃是仿照宋代官窑而作。造型上小口，短颈，折肩，方腹，器腹折角处凸饰连续纹。此器表施宜钧釉，釉面灰青，釉层较厚，开片均匀，配合瓶身棱线，整体效果极佳。本品制作工艺难度大，为明代欧窑巅峰时期的作品，器型方中蕴圆，拙中含秀，釉色古朴中见天然，观之古意盎然，尤可辨赵宋遗韵，给观者以极佳的审美享受。
