有明一朝，景德镇御窑厂在唐代铅黄釉之基础上加以改良，以3.5%氧化铁注入原有硅酸铅釉，延制黄釉器不绝。拍品为嘉靖御窑单色釉典型作品，同类器常见大尺寸者，类拍品尺寸小巧，工艺上乘者甚属少见。拍品通体满施浇黄釉，釉面光亮滋润，呈色纯正，盘心及外壁近足处，因积釉尤显釉色浓重，风格独具。
