STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATE, featuring the "EXCHANGE / NEW.YORK.", depicting firemen and civilians standing outside a row of flaming buildings, border featuring alternating panels of a Phoenix bird and a fire truck, from The Great Fire, City of New York series. In addition to printed pattern name, the mark features a Phoenix having "D" above and "Stone Ware" below to underside. Thomas Dimmock & Co., Hanley, England. Circa 1835. 10 1/8" D. Undamaged.
