STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC WASH BASIN AND PITCHER, each depicting a waterside naval monument with canons and flags, having "WASHINGTON / INDEPENDENCE / MANLEY TRUXTON / PREBLE LITTLE / JONES" printed to base, and featuring various names of naval heroes up to the War of 1812 to top. Unmarked. Circa 1825. Pitcher 9 1/4" HOA, basin 4 1/2" H, 12 3/8" D rim. Undamaged, basin having some light short scattered scratches to interior from use.
