STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC COVERED SAUCE TUREEN, UNDERTRAY, AND LADLE, comprising a tureen featuring the "EXCHANGE CHARLESTON" and the "BANK OF SAVANNAH" to either side, cover with image of the "INSANE HOSPITAL / BOSTON", a tray with the "EXCHANGE CHARLESTON", and a ladle with image of a figure on horseback with dog, taken from the Exchange, Charleston scene, from the Beauties of America series. Each having printed pattern name to underside, except ladle, tureen having red hand-brushed museum accession number. John & William Ridgway, Hanley, England. 1813-1830. 7 1/4" HOA, tray 8 1/4" x 6 1/8". Tray and ladle undamaged; cover with light hairline; tureen having a minute flake to foot edge and one handle reattached.
