STAFFORDSHIRE AFRICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC SOUP TUREEN AND UNDERTRAY, oval footed form with molded open foliate handles and cover with molded flower finial, featuring "DIX COVE / ON THE GOLD COAST / AFRICA", as printed to underside, depicting a trading port with palm trees and boats filled with figures, tray featuring ships in harbor with "ERITH ON THE THAMES", each with shell border. Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem, England. 1818-1846. 11 1/4" HOA. Tray undamaged; base mostly undamaged, having two minor light radial hairlines to interior that do not appear to go through to exterior; cover with some professional restoration.
