NEW ENGLAND QUEEN ANNE ARM CHAIR, carved yoke crest rail above a solid vasiform splat, shaped arms, and trapezoidal woven-rush seat, raised on turned block and vase front legs terminating in Spanish feet and plain back legs, joined by turned side and rear stretchers and a robustly turned front stretcher. Rush is early, possibly original. Old refinished surface with warm color. Circa 1750. 44 3/4" HOA, 18 1/2" H seat, 16" D seat. Very good condition, minor crack to back of rail supporting splat, some losses to rush, areas of expected usage wear. Provenance: From the collection of Nick Routson, Phoenix, AZ.
