SHAKER PAINTED BENTWOOD BOXES, LOT OF SIX, each of covered oval form, comprising four diminutive Harvard-type examples with single opposing laps, and two larger three-finger examples. Each with original painted surface. Mid 19th century. Largest example 4 1/2" H, 14 3/4" X 10". Very good to good overall condition with minor to moderate areas of wear and discoloration, scattered minor cracks and small losses, heavier surface wear to one three-finger example, largest three-finger example with crack to lid and small loss to one edge.
