Description

拍品形制庄重，古朴凝厚，束颈鼓腹，自口至足皆作八方。瓶颈、胫部分别阴刻回字形纹，手法细致，纹路清晰。瓶颈两侧各设一龙首活环，龙眼圆睁，凸额宽鼻，龙须飞扬，巨口张开，气宇轩昂。八棱瓶中“八”之一数并非随意为之，盖因“八”源自于《周易》，至唐又与释迦摩尼生日数相重，因此既赋吉祥之寓又具佛理之意。此瓶铜料紧密，铸工精湛，装饰简括却不失精巧，隽品难得，可堪珍藏。
