金刚橛原为武器，以锐利为特性，後被藏传佛教吸收为法器，象徵如来金刚之智慧大用，能击破各种物质，破除诸般愚智妄想。拍品整体精雕细琢，顶饰三面忿怒明王头像，明王头戴三骷髅冠，容相狰狞，三目圆睁，张口露齿，髮丝怒卷，如火焰燃烧，象徵着永久的持护力量和无边的法能；明王像下接手柄，饰连珠以及八瓣仰覆莲台；下部三棱橛刃自龙首羊角之摩羯鱼口中吐出，刃上缠蛇，以示断灭贪、嗔、痴三毒。全器雕工精湛，又铜质细密，比例匀称，品相完好，为上佳供养法器。
