In front of a dark background, at a table, the saint looking at the viewer, pointing to a book containing the inscription "Timete Deum et date illi honorem quonia venit hora judici eius". Vincenzo Ferreri was born on 23.01.1350 in Valencia and died on 05.04.1419 in Vannes. He was a Dominican monk and was canonized by Pope Calixt III in 1455. Calixt III, whose civil name was Alonso de Borja, was in fact prophesied by Vincenzo Ferreri that he would one day occupy the chair of Peter, which happened in 1455 when he was elected Pope. Vincenzo Ferreri had predicted Alfonso de Borgia would one day sit on Saint Peter's Chair, which held true due to his election as Pope Callixtus III in 1455.
