十二月花神杯为康熙朝官窑之首创，为成套时令酒具，每套共有十二只，代表着不同的月份，每月均配以一种月令花卉，其旁各题五言、七言诗句，末钤“赏”字篆文印，素来被誉为康熙朝瓷器珍品。《陶雅》有赞曰：“康熙十二月花卉酒杯，一杯一花，有青花、有五彩，质地甚薄，铢两自轻。……若欲凑全十二月之花，诚戛乎其难。青花价值，且亦不甚相悬也。”拍品即为十二月花神杯之一，胎薄质轻，绘工精湛，前画后诗，雅致绝伦。主题纹饰为八月花神桂花，所用题词为“枝生无限月,花满自然秋”，选自《全唐诗》卷60李峤之《桂》。后落“赏”字方形印章款
