霁红釉是清代康熙、雍正、乾隆三朝极为盛行的红釉品种，但由于铜红釉的烧造技术难度较大，似拍品釉色光泽纯正者，实为难得。清人龚鉽在《景德镇陶歌》有言：“官古窑成重霁红，最难全美费良工。霜天晴昼精心合，一样搏烧百不同。”拍品仿自成化器型，撇口，深腹，腹部斜收，底略瘦，下承以喇叭状高足。内外壁满施霁红釉，釉色浓厚深沉，宝光内蕴。口沿一线白色“灯草口”，对比鲜明。此类器物因系佛前供奉之用，非日常用器，是以烧造不多。
