此件玉质温润细腻，整体受沁呈赭红色，光气精良。器呈椭圆形，带有弧度，雕琢为神面造型，橄榄形眼，嘴微隆，背面饰数道弦纹，以简易阴线刻画，五官特征雕刻严肃庄重，背部琢一对牛鼻穿孔。对神的崇拜古已有之，据信是因为大自然的神奇远远超出人们的认知，使人不由自主地产生恐惧、崇敬心理，于是人们通过自己的想象对这些神奇的事物进行主观加工，生成了各种各样的崇拜。所以，对神的祟拜也就成了文化期各大文明的一种主流形式，各式玉雕神人、神面即为表现。整件造型古朴自然，器物展现了高超的琢玉技艺，同时散发着威严与神秘的气息，时代特征明显，十分珍贵。
