秋水壶为嘉道时期的经典朱泥壶式，以一弯流、瓮形壶身、耳形壶把构成，体量较小，器形精致秀雅，为品茶佳器。
拍品制作手法洗炼，作秋水式，观表面砂砾细腻，烧结得宜，发色娇艳，润泽如秋水，讨人欢喜。器身饱满蕴势，神采奕奕。壶型精巧，壶盖留唇，盖面穹起，中立扁珠钮，弯流饱满，执把圆弧有力，赏之令人心醉。足内竹刀划刻“秋水”楷书。
“秋水”一词亦指清朗的气质，唐人杜甫《徐卿二子歌》：“秋水为神玉为骨。”宋人苏轼《次韵王定国得颍倅》亦有：“仙风入骨已凌云，秋水为文不受尘。”
