弥勒常见有两种形态，菩萨装和佛装。此尊造像为佛装弥勒，身着袈裟，螺发，肉髻，右手施触地印，左手结禅定印，托钵，钵中有象征其身份的宝塔。全跏趺坐于莲座上。双眉细长高挑，与鼻脊相连，眉间有白毫，双目垂视，嘴巴小巧，与鼻的距离较短，额头宽阔，面容温和慈悲。宽肩细腰，胸挺背直，健壮有力，可见腰部明显的肌肉线条。着袒右式袈裟，一角搭于左肩。袈裟边缘阴刻花纹。此尊造像比例协调，莲座较高。此尊造像通体鎏金，身体体态挺拔，线条流畅，肢体语言丰富传神，神态活泼而富有神秘之感。造像上的诸多处理手法和细节与索南坚赞风格密切相关。
