In narrow golden wooden strip.

Bozzetto or draft for a larger painting, also called "The Presentation of a Slave". In an elegant interior a young woman is offered by two dealers, one in red, the other in blue clothing. They are just about to open the woman's white robe and thus present the naked beauty to a seated older gentleman dressed in white, holding a tall vase in his right arm. The presentation is viewed on the right side by a man leaning straight on a chair with his knees and another man.

The painting, which was probably executed in large format and in detail according to this design, was auctioned at Sotheby's in 2005 for over one million dollars. (1212062) (18)
