View over the calmly flowing Grand Canal, shimmering in blue and greenish tones, to the famous Doge's Palace and the two large columns of San Marco and San Teodoro. In the foreground right some boats anchored at the shore and some gondolas with figures on the water. In the background the big white-grey magnificent church Santa Maria della Salute.
