|说明：此像铜制，袈裟加红彩。布袋和尚光头跣足，面方体圆，额前三道皱纹，间饰白毫，鼻梁挺拔，眉开眼笑，长耳垂肩，让人见之顿望凡尘俗事，只剩佛心满怀。身着僧袍，袒胸露乳，左腿弯曲着地，右腿曲立身前，左手持布袋，右手置于右膝之上，坐姿自在。据说布袋和尚是弥勒的化身，或说布袋和尚于梁代贞明三年三月三日（917年）圆寂于岩林寺东廊石上。临终时口占一偈：“弥勒真弥勒，分身千万亿，时时显示人，时人向不识。”。
