本佛塔雕工精熟，线条精准流畅，体现了十八世纪时期的精湛工艺，为难得一见的精品。传世品中类似于本品的玉佛塔非常少见，更多见玉佛像配鎏金塔和背光的例子。北京故宫博物院藏几件玉佛坐像例子可作参考，见《故宫博物院藏品大系：玉器编8·清》，北京，2011年，页270-274，编号234-238。恭亲王旧藏一对十八/十九世纪青白玉佛塔亦可资参考，此对佛塔于1913年售于纽约American Art Galleries，编号194，其中一件后又售于纽约苏富比，1986年，编号215。
