铜鎏金金刚萨埵是藏传佛教中常见的尊神，具有双重身份特征，有时作为菩萨出现，而在密教教义中，又常常作为诸佛的统摄，具有法身的含义。金刚萨埵与大持金刚的持物相同，都为金刚杵和金刚铃。但金刚持将铃与杵交叉持于胸前，而金刚萨埵则双手一上一下分别放置。此尊造像具有鲜明的尼泊尔马拉时期造像风格，其面部特征明显，额头宽阔，面容秀美，鼻脊细窄，嘴唇较薄。上身袒露，下身着裙，衣饰简洁，身披飘带，在身体两侧扬起。结全跏趺坐于莲座上。莲瓣较圆，为双层，上下整齐对称排列，莲座下缘稍宽，且饰有粗大的连珠纹。装饰处嵌松石、珊瑚点缀。尼泊尔造像中神祗优雅、俊美及多彩的珠石镶嵌，成为了喜马拉雅艺术中极为鲜明的艺术风格，马拉王朝时期农业兴盛，宗教与文化处于旺盛的活跃期，也加速了宗教艺术的发展。此件造像即为历史的见证。
