武中奇(1907-2006)山东长清人。江苏省人大常务委员会委员，江苏省画院副院长。中国书法家协会理事，中国书协江苏分会主席。武中奇的真、草、隶、篆均有深厚的功力，尤以真、草见长，特别是草书，是以碑融草的大胆尝试者和成功者，开宗立派，独树一帜，世称武体 ，在中国书法史上占有重要的位置。其真书峻宕雄伟、刚健质朴、紧中见放，草书则动静相依、错落有致、抑抑应节、气势开豁。至于篆刻则以秦汉为宗、因石奏力、取其自然，盎然天趣。
