水晶在古代属玉器，因硬度高，极难雕刻，故传世稀少，价高于玉。
此观音坐像以水晶雕就，法相端庄，呈半跏趺坐姿，身躯端正，姿态优雅典美。头戴风帽，面型丰润，双目微启，神态祥和，右手扶膝，左手撑地，右腿曲立，左腿平置交脚。观音身着通领式宽衣法袍，衣衫层次分明，线条流畅，飘然欲动。
