拍品为明代的木雕造像，题材极为接近生活，为人们喜闻乐见。观音自在姿态坐于高座之上，低眉若有所思，面庞丰腴，神情娴淑。披斗篷式袈裟，衣纹或疏或密，飘逸自然。旁侧孩童依偎一侧，抬头望向观音，憨态可掬，增添整体的趣味性及艺术感。
送子观音题材的造像在北宋时期已有之，到明清时期大量出现。《妙法莲华经·观世音普门品》云：“若有女人，设欲求男，礼拜供养观世音菩萨，便生福德智慧之男；设欲求女，便生端正有相之女。”送子观音像即典出于此。
整尊作品造型比例协调，工艺技法娴熟，线条精炼，刀法有力，干净利落，注重神韵的表现，望之俨然，神思妙凝，给人想象空间。斑驳的皮壳更凸显出造像古朴厚重的历史感，艺术造诣和收藏价值颇高。
