Two small soft past blue and white vases, Kangxi period, ca. 1700, China, Two elongated globular bodies with a double gourd and flaring top, decorated with figures including a lady seated on a spotted horse attended by servants. The soft paste glaze with crazing and the porcelain of a fine creamy white colour. Marked with a 'jade' symbol., H 12 cm and 11.7 cm, The property of a Dutch nobleman. Provenance: Johannes Bieruma Oosting (1842-1902) and his wife Cornelia Charlotte Brantsma (1848-1894), by descent to their daughter Agatha Victoria Bieruma Oosting (1875-1968).
