拍品以紫檀为材，方形雕花板与边框以榫卯结构组合为一整体，中心凸起部位浮雕变形如意头纹围绕团花，边框饰夔龙纹。雕工细致，纹饰严整有度，具有明显的乾隆宫廷风格。根据故宫博物院藏品清中期紫檀西番莲纹方形器座推测，拍品应为器座的上层部分。紫檀属名贵硬木，非数百年不能成材，质地坚致，纹理绚丽，拍品纹饰精美，工艺之巧与天然之美相得益彰。参阅: 《故宫博物院藏器座》卷一，故宫出版社，2016年，页40、41，图8
