He is followed by a servant with a long staff, looking back at a seated woman with a child. Biblical depiction, probably of the Reconciliation between Jacob and his son Joseph, King of Egypt (Genesis 47: 5-6). Floral border decorated with fruit; the bottom corners each feature a person.294 × 463 cm.Few losses and repairs.This scene could be part of an unknown series of tapestries with Biblical depictions, in which patriarchs like Abraham and Jacob are often depicted as bearded old men. Ihm folgt ein Diener mit langem Stab, auf eine sitzende Frau mit Kind zurückschauend. Im Hintergrund links einige sich umarmende Figuren und ein Kamel dahinter. Vielfigurige biblische Darstellung, wohl die Versöhnung zwischen Jakob und seinem Sohn Joseph, König von Ägypten (Genesis 47: 5-6). Mit floraler Bordüre mit Früchten, in den unteren Ecken zwei Personen.294 × 463 cm.Wenige Fehlstellen und Reparaturen.Diese Szene könnte zu einer unbekannten Serie von Tapisserien mit biblischen Darstellungen gehören, in welcher Patriarchen wie Abraham und Jakob gerne als bärtige Alte dargestellt sind. Als Vergleiche können eine Tapisserien über das Leben Abrahams in Hampton Court (um 1545) und eine über das Leben Jakobs in Brüssel (um 1535) angeführt werden.Die Bordüre mit dem breiten floralen Dekor findet sich auf Tapisserien aus der Zeit zwischen 1540 und 1560. Das Motiv findet sich sowohl in Brüssel als auch in Enghien.
