The horse, standing with its four legs on a rectangular base, is depicted with a lengthy rump, a broad chest, spindly legs, a long tail adjoined to the left hind leg, an elongated neck and a small head. The ears broke off. The horse is represented without a mane, only on the forehead there is a shaped tuft of hair. The chest, the saddle, the headstall and the straps with tassels around the rump show remains of black paint. On its back it is carrying a saddle blanket and a saddle with stirr. The tassels hanging from straps around the horse’s chest, rump and belly, and the large saddle blanket are typical adornments of horse figures used in the Wei period.
