简介：王正廷，原名正庭，字儒堂，号子白，浙江奉化人。中华民国政治家、外交官、体育活动家，欧美同学会、中华全国体育协进会的创始人之一。1905年赴日本留学，同年加入中国同盟会。1907年赴美国留学，先在密歇根大学、耶鲁大学学习。历任南京临时政府参议院副议长、代理议长、代理工商部长，北京政府工商部次长、外交总长、代理内阁总理，南京国民政府外交部长、驻美国大使等职。他热心体育事业，1922年被选为国际奥委会委员，成为中国历史上的第一位国际奥委会委员。后以总领队的身份率领中国体育代表团先后参加过第11和第14届奥林匹克运动会。1952年定居香港，任太平洋保险公司董事长，1961年去世。
