本拍品为夏伊乔随刘海粟于1957年梅山水库、佛子岭水库建设过程中所画速写，共二十九页，多幅为长卷速写，十分难得。其中两页纸背后用铅笔所写“佛子岭会场一张”和“梅山水库”字样，另有一张纸背后有毛笔转印字样“十二月卅一日，夏英”。另有写有“安徽难冲乡生产合作社”字样，可知该批速写为夏伊乔随刘海粟在安徽写生时期所创作。速写多为人物和全景，著重描绘人物生产生活状态，同时对周边景物描绘非常仔细。此外，此批速写具有相当的文献价值，夏伊乔随刘海粟共赴写生，夏伊乔所写下的景色同样可为刘海粟之写生经历提供左证，是刘海粟五十年代游历写生之证明，以夏伊乔之笔写刘海粟所眼见之景色，殊为珍贵。
