参阅： 《刘海粟画集》P32，北京工艺美术出版社，2006年。 1954年六上黄山写生是刘海粟绘画风格承前启后的关键转折点，也是刘海粟专注于黄山题材大规模创作的起始之年，因此1954年刘海粟所作作品为其开创黄山风格的原始面貌，此后四十年间的黄山创作皆可见其影响，因此意义重大。此目标为刘海粟六上黄山时所作《黄山云海写生》写生初稿及创作底稿，两者对照来看，此稿去除了炭笔底稿中批注取消的建筑，专注于描绘黄山云海景色，体现出刘海粟创作过程中的取舍。而与原作对照来看，此创作底稿已接近完成，而尚未收拾的部分细节正可看出刘海粟作画的前后顺序，是充分体现刘海粟五十年代黄山艺术风格中独特的代表创作之一。
