释迦牟尼经“兜率天降生”、“白象入胎”、“住胎说法”，最终从摩耶夫人“右肋降生”。佛经称，悉达多太子降生后走了七步，步步生莲花，随后一手指天，一手指地说道：“天上地下，唯我独尊”，这是释迦牟尼普度众生发出的庄严宣言。诞生像即来源于此传说。 此尊释迦摩尼诞生像呈童子貌，表情肃穆沉静，体现出佛祖与生俱来不同凡俗的气质。光头大耳，弯眉杏目，眉间显白毫，颈部三道蚕节纹。佛陀扣双指分指天、地，展现出佛祖诞生时的庄严法相，通身无衣饰，躯体匀称，各主要关节均交代简练概括，跣足立于仰莲台座之上。 整躯铸造工艺精湛，比例拿捏合度，神态写实传神，刻画自若，尺寸不大，但气势神圣庄严，予人天地凛然，伟岸端庄之感，具有高度的写实风格，时代特征鲜明。
