天球瓶是受西亚文化影响极深的一种瓷器造型，始于明代永乐、宣德年间，状若天球，故名天球瓶。此瓶颈笔直修长，球形腹浑圆，器形高大，胎制坚密，白釉为底，粉彩作饰，颇富巧思，通体以粉彩绘喜鹊登梅图，蜿蜒挺拔的枝干，以褐、蓝为主色调，枝头间隙盛开白、粉各色梅朵，淡雅宜人，数只喜鹊栖息于枝头，昂首、窃语、欲飞，喜庆祥和之景象。灵芝、丛草点缀枝干。寓意着春天的到来，喜事的降临。整器纹饰有致，描绘精细，敷色鲜艳亮丽。「喜上梅梢」是中国最为喜闻乐见的吉祥喜庆图案，以兆好运，寓意极佳。
