Description

王宸（1720—1797）字子凝，一字紫凝，一作子冰，號蓬心，一作蓬薪，又號蓬樵，晚署老蓬仙、蓬樵老、瀟湘翁、柳東居士、蓮柳居士，自稱蒙叟、玉虎山樵、退官衲子，江蘇太倉人。王時敏六世孫，王原祁曾孫。官銜有的說是乾隆二十五年舉人，官永州太守，但也有一說是乾隆年進士，官居永州知府。書法似顏真卿，多藏古碑刻。山水承家學，以元四家為宗，而深得黃公望法。枯毫重墨，氣味荒古，脫略形似，仿王紱尤得神髓 。王宸中年的畫，乾皴中尚有潤澤之趣。到了晚年則枯而且秀 ，山石都在形似間。著有《繪林伐材》、《蓬心詩鈔》，卒年七十八歲。與王玖、王愫、王昱合稱小四王
