Comment : The reference 2998 is part of the first Speedmaster reference produced by the house of Omega from 1959 to 1962. Our reference 2998 - 61 is distinguished by its straight lugs, the Omega logo applied to the dial and the step dial on the elongated baton indexes. It is equipped with the calibre 321 surmounted by its protective capsule. Having preserved a beautiful homogeneous patina, our example is part of the last series of 2998 produced on November 30, 1962 as mentioned on the extract from the archives.
