The triangular ears with contours and foliated scrolls; the lid with stylised heart grape or pearl borders, chiselled with frames and rosettes, the knob grip; engraved later with the monogram MD, hallmark of the Master Goldsmith Jean-Baptiste Arthaud, known as Arthaud jeune, received in 1783; without hallmark of the Master Goldsmith in the lid; restoration in the lid, repolished.
