Chinese Republic period, polychrome fish motif porcelain chopstick holder. The Porcelain potted in chopstick holder, sturdily in slight tall trapezoidal straight body, thick potted, with a trapezoidal flat base, gentle upward to wide straight opening form rim. All reserved in hand painting ornamentations, rendered in clean white under glazed ground color which contrast against the polychrome design color. Polychrome is the "'practice of decorating architectural elements, sculpture, etc., in a variety of colors."
