此镜为颇具代表性的龙纹题材铜镜，采用浮雕的表现技法，立体感强，铸工精湛，版工力度极佳，头版头模，且镜体硕大厚重，堪称元代铜镜艺术的上佳之作。镜背主题纹饰丰富，圆平钮、方钮框，内饰“至元四年”纪年款，铭文间篆刻“长高家亲自制造”八字标记铭文，显然是受这一时期铜镜文化的影响。主题纹饰为两条造型生动、威武雄健、气势磅礴的巨龙。巨龙置于钮框上下，躬背曲腰，龙爪前伸，曲颈昂首，龙口大口，獠牙尽现，欲吞火珠，身旁流云攒动，似腾跃于云间。双龙刻画细致生动，肌肉强劲，麟甲清晰，须髯细密，神态威严，充分体现出龙的磅礴气势和阳刚气概，极具王者之气。间饰浮雕荷花、荷叶、花卉纹，在至刚的基蕴中又不失怡然柔和的自然情趣。
