China. Ming-Dynastie. Jiajing-Zeit (1521-1566).

Porzellan mit dunkel kobaltblauer Glasur, 'Opferblau' (jilan). Die leicht bauchige Wandung läuft in einer elegant geschwungenen Lippe aus. Der Teller steht auf einem weiten, leicht nach innen abgeschrägten Fußring. Innen und außen auf der Fahne dunkelblau glasiert, im Boden transparent.

Teller, Vasen und andere Gefäße aus Porzellan wurden bereits seit der Yuan-Dynastie (1297-1368) mit monochromen Farben glasiert. Sie wurden im täglichen Gebrauch, aber auch für rituelle Zwecke und zur Dekoration verwemdet. Dieses dunkle, sog. Opferblau wurden für Zeremonien und Rituale am Altar des Himmels (tiantan) verwendet. Höhe 4,1cm, Ø 20,7cm. Im Boden in Unterglasurblau sechsteilige Jiajing-Marke im Doppelring und aus der Zeit. Zustand C. Glasur verändert, wohl durch ein Feuer. Innen Gebrauchsspuren. Riss am Rand.

Provenienz:
-Sammlung Sonderhoff. Vor Ort gesammelt vor 1942. Im Boden alte Sammlermarke, nicht mehr entzifferbar.

祭蓝釉盘
明 嘉靖1521-1566年 高4.1cm/口径20.7cm
撇口，弧壁，深腹，圈足略内收。此器釉色蓝中微泛紫色，为嘉靖朝特征之一。盘底双圈内青花书「大明嘉靖年製」六字双行楷书款。明、清蓝釉习称“霁蓝”，又称“积蓝釉”、“祭蓝釉”、“霁青釉”，为明皇室规定的祭祀用色。
品相等级C，盘壁内外局部釉色疑似遭火烧。盘心微磨损，盘沿有小冲线。
来源：桑德霍夫私人藏品，1941年前购入。盘底老签无法辨识。

RARE SACRIFICIAL BLUE DISH FOR THE ALTAR OF HEAVEN.
China. Ming dynasty. Jiajing period (1521-1566).

Porcelain with dark cobalt blue glaze, 'sacrificial blue' (jilan). The wall a bit bulbous with an outswinging lip, on a wide, somewhat retracted foot ring. Glazed dark blue, inside the footring transparent.

Dishes, vases and other vessels from porcelain have been glazed monochrom since the Yuan dynasty (1297-1368). They where used every day, but although for rituals and for decoration. This type of dark blue, named sacrificial blue was used for ceremonies and rituals at the Altar of Heaven (tiantan). Height 4.1cm, Ø 20.7cm. Underneath in underglaze blue a six part Jiajing mark in double ring and from the period. Condition C. Glaze altered, prob. because of a fire or from the kiln. Inside traces of use. Crack at the rim.
