中型文具箱，以黝黑致密的紫檀制成箱体，质地细腻，色泽黝黑，金星闪烁，门屉则镶嵌一块绚烂至极的硬木板，在深沉的紫檀映衬下，璀璨夺目。箱顶设罗锅式提梁，沿边起阳线，外侧至两端变为回纹，内侧以优美遒劲的弧线交于顶面之上。箱正面较素，边框内侧起委角线，门屉内侧凸起一层，里侧又起委角线两层，匠师以变化的线脚为造型元素，瘿木心板为落膛起鼓做法。门屉下方装一铜鎏金小扭，内有机关，搬动可将松开卡子，打开门屉。箱内设数格，上册放置有拿出的托盘。其余为抽屉七具，抽屉面皆以瘿木制成，皮壳老辣，纹路如斑点簇集，如鬼脸，如豹斑，甚为绚丽夺目。抽屉上装铜垫片、铜瓶形吊牌。此箱为文人置放小文具、古董之用，上面的托盘用来欣赏时搁置自抽屉内取出的对象，紫檀和瘿木的配合相得益彰，做工精细，为经典的文房小庋具。
