镇纸为中国古代一种常用的文房用器，汉晋以来多取金属为材，以天禄、辟邪等各种瑞兽形象为之。瑞兽题材为古代时期奢侈品，历来为达官显贵所用，象征吉祥和驱除鬼怪。此器物以精铜为材，分量压手。两头瑞狮引颈回首，成相望状，身躯低垂，四肢抓地，昂首挺胸，足具气势，双目圆睁，双耳后摆，阔鼻大口，神态肃穆庄严。躯干挺拔，尾部分岔卷曲上扬，极具动态张力，栩栩如生，似随时弹跳而起，颇具汉魏石刻之遗风。包浆皮壳浓厚润泽，老化自然，古朴灵动，整器小巧自然，皮壳熟润，气韵苍古，既可入手把玩，又可置之案头，雅趣顿生，实为赏玩之佳器。
