Nagoya, Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th centuryWorked in silver wire of varying gauge with a flock of tanchozuru (red-crested cranes) flying in different directions, several cranes with their wings overlapping, above a band of stylised waves on the foot, all on a blue-midnight ground, mounted with a silver rim and foot; signed on the base with the mark of Kume. 31cm (12 1/8in) high.
