清代是中国古代玻璃器发展史上最辉煌时期，玻璃品种繁多，工艺技术高超。采用了西方技术与中国造型艺术，创造出中西合璧的精美作品。佛像以红石红琉璃精琢而成，装饰金彩，庄重华丽，佛做盘腿结趺式，端坐于莲台之上，神态安详，俯瞰众生。整器似玉温润透亮，金彩底“乾隆丁丑”款。乾隆丁丑年，即乾隆二十二年（ 公历1757年）。
