圓形，圆钮。钮区外纹饰为四组神人与神兽相间环绕，四神兽头部突出，浮雕而成，口衔横梁，鬃毛细腻精美。四主神正襟危坐，衣衫飘举，身侧配饰神兽、禽鸟仆从。四组图案分别描述，伯牙弹琴、东王公、西王母、黄帝。主纹饰外为一圈方枚，方枚上有四字铭文为“天王日月”，铭文字体隽秀，字口犀利。方枚外十二个半圆纹饰，上饰有云气纹，外一圈锯齿纹。再饰一圈浮雕纹饰，有神人驾龙车，乘鸾鸟、六龙腾云驾雾出巡图。镜缘为变形云气纹。半圆方枚神兽镜是东汉时期有着广泛影响的镜种之一，布局繁琐而不拥塞，神、兽众多却各有其位;文化内涵深邃而自成一系。该镜在不足盈尺的空间里将东汉高浮雕工艺发挥的淋漓尽致，挥洒自如，不管是人物的眉目神韵，动物禽鸟的鼻眼，许细的羽毛，无疑不精雕细琢，毫发毕现，是东汉高浮雕工艺炉火纯青，登峰造极至善尽美之作。
