Imperial, Jiaqing mark and of the period, 1796-1820The slender-sectioned bottle with a waisted neck, flared and gilt heightened lip, each main side with a conforming panel framing a scene probably from the Yuan dynasty fiction 'Romance of the Western Chamber', depicting figures in a lavish palace setting, all surrounded by scrolling vines painted in underglaze blue and with gilt highlight; the flat foot inscribed with the four-character mark in iron-red seal script.1 1/2in (6.4cm) high
