明王，为汉传佛教密宗最为重要的护法神灵，因明王借佛的智慧光明摧破众生之烦恼业障，所以称为“明王”。较为常见的共有八位，合称“八大明王”。此尊焰发竖立，戴骷髅冠。身具三面，面庞丰圆，表情寂忿。上身袒露，身缠长蛇，披帛自两臂缓缓而下。前两手于胸前合十，后两手高举分持金刚杵等法器。下身着短裙，跣足立于方形台座之上。整像铜质莹润，造型古拙质朴，人物精神气韵十分浓郁，更兼宗教内容寓意吉祥，十分值得迎请供奉。出处：云南文物商店库出
